How did I get to that place, and how do I get out of it?

There I was, living in a state of overwhelm, feeling stressed and discouraged.

Intentional Living Challenge – Life Management for Busy Moms

I cried out to God asking Him to guide me and show me where to start and what I needed to do.

He specifically pointed out areas that I needed to focus intentionally on:

  • Focus on My Heart – developing my relationship with God and His Word
  • Caring for My Health – taking steps to better self-care
  • Nurturing My Family – building strong relationships in my home
  • My Home – managing the housekeeping
  • Prioritizing My Time – managing my time to better achieve priorities and goals
  • My Prayer Life – maintaining it all with the power of intentional prayer

Most of us know these should be our priorities, and we really want to do right in each of the areas.

Why then do we struggle so much with managing our life as God would have us to?

It comes down to one simple thing: a failure to be intentional!

We have to intentionally plan HOW we are going to accomplish our goals and priorities.

As I was thinking about this, I was reminded that we all have the same amount of time in our days. We all have 24 hours a day to use as we please or choose.

We can’t always control our circumstances and things do come up, however, we could do better at figuring out how to make time for those things that are important to us.

The truth is that we make time for what is important to us.

I know there are things in my life, and probably yours too, that we do actually feel are very important. Yet we feel so BUSY that we blame our neglect of them on not having enough time.

I believe that you can do better by being intentional.  You need a PLAN to live intentionally.

Without a plan of action, it’s unlikely that you will move forward with your priorities.
